Hi Ian,
I can suggest two things.
1) 30 visitors a day is not enough to really tell how well it will work, you need to ramp this up.
2) When I advertise, I don't send people to a blog or web page, I send them to a landing page with a unique offer. This has better results in converting a visitor to a customer than a general site with multiple topics. Here is an example of one I am running now.
