I love blogging! I've been blogging since June 2003 (link removed) and have only been exploring monetising options since around 6 months ago.
Luckily my day job means I don't need to make money off blogging, so I can just keep doing it as a hobby. If any money comes in, it helps pay for hosting and other ancillary stuff so that my hobby doesn't cost my family anything. Who knows .. it may even pay for a holiday one day.

Cricket above, if you're passionate about something, you're bound to be successful at it. And if someone wants to pay you to do it .. well .. lucky you!
Me .. I'm paid to mess around with computers all day .. how great is that ?
