I haven't read that one, big drunk.

But, I'm going to recommend another one that's pretty good. It isn't about SEO, but rather is about search engines, and it's pretty readable. It's more of a nonfiction, history of search and search engines than a how-to guide.

Web Dragons: Inside the Myths of Search Engine Technology

There are glowing reviews on the back of the book from Google's Craig Neville-Manning, Yahoo!'s Prabhakar Raghaven, and Microsoft's Johnathan Grudin.

It's written for a wider audience than just SEOs, but it goes into some very nice detail about things that have happened on the Web.
