Granting access to site using code given away with product
Here's a question for all you code gurus out there...
Does anyone know of an off the shelf system which would be able to generate random codes (8 character) which would then be printed onto cards and inserted into product packaging. The codes would then be used to grant temporary access to a section of a website for say 2 weeks, the code is then useless after it has been used once (or any other way in which this can be done).
It doesn't need to be ultra secure, more of an incentive based idea to stop casual access to the protected pages.
I've tried searching Google, but come up with nothing viable.
TIA for any thoughts.
