Havind said that, most companies do the following. The add the trademark to the first title and the first time it appears on a page. After that it's not necessary. However, it is a personal preference and other companies put it everytime the trademark name is mentioned. Putting the disclaimer at the bottom is just to explain what the trademark is. It's not meant to replace it.
If you are getting paid to make the changes that your boss asks you to do, then can you really say that you are wasting your time? You might say that you bosses is wasting his money then gently suggest another alternative.
