There is several good tools, I would suggest using adwords for keyword analysis reason i say that is because it shows you the exact impressions and gives you a better idea.
For example we used it on one of our high paying keywords which was "website design" we found out this keyword was getting over 1k plus search in 7 minutes, and were currently ranking in the top 7 for that keyword, was at number 4, but it alters and we are aiming for number 1.
with many other competitive keywords.
