Righteo....
Twisted Noise is an online magazine, which publises interviews biographies, MP3's gig dates+reviews amongst others about unsigned bands.
On top of this there is a community forum and a chat room.
This is my first foray into phpBB3, and I'm impressed by the way I can edit templates etc in the Admin Panel. What also impresses me is the fact that, without knowing it phpBB have created a syatem where you can have full table dynamic pages, along with Sidebars.....
As you can see, the Website and the Forum share EXACTLY the same skin, and I've tried to keep the uniformity going through the site into the forum by including the sidebars in the forum. UI am going to also include this in all other forum pages.
For the forum index page, I realised that the solution I was trying to impliment would be imposible due to size constrictions, therefore I had to alter the table layout to move the number of topics and posts to the bottom of the forum description. This is because, it is the least important fact, and it also frees up space for me to have the size of the description at a reasonable width....
Then I have done the same with viewforum, to again save some space.. I am having a problem with viewtopic, and therefore the page is a bit wider, however my way round this would be to force a blank avatar on a user if they do not have one, so that it mantains the column width right the way through... I have tried removing the post time and date, and then colspan="2 for the buttons, but it doesn't work....
In a failed attempt to find a gallery to work with php safe mode turned on that i can integrate into phpBB3, I decided to use a simple gallery system, and slap the template on around it. The gallery by standard likes to show the selected image at full size, but as all the images used are Camera Landscapes, I am able to get away with setting a set height and width... The only problem with this section is I have to manually edit the sidebars..... Boo Hiss...
anyway......... Let me know what you think... It is just about done with only one page missing....
