I use godaddy for registration with no issue at all but I have heard awful things from the hosting side of their operation. If your on a month by month basis then I would as others have suggested look at how much space and bandwith you will need. Take what your using now and double it and it will still likely be much lower than what most of the cheap plans are from most hosts.

I wouldnt be supprised if you find hosting for $5 and it ends up meeting your needs.
