My understanding is that they're hosting operation is poor throughout - regardless of how much you're paying them for it!
We've had plenty of VPS and dedicated server customers move to us from GoDaddy citing their poor service/support as one of the main reasons.
For obvious reasons, I don't tend to gain personal experience of other hosting providers, but some of the comments I hear about them when discussing our services during pre-sales tell me all I need to know...

I tend to agree with gate2vn's view that the above is probably a sensible option; if you've found a good provider that suits your needs then it's probably a good idea to stick with them.
That said, I don't want to encourage everyone to stay put 'cos then they're not moving to Layershift
