I was reading the book 'The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich' and it was revealed that when the top Nazi Party officials began planning the details of the holocaust with those who would actually carry it out, there were several top german military leaders who protested it-but not one doctor. When i read a different book (Time life WW11 series) about it, they had an illustration section of the concentration camps and the horrific medical experiments. It showed some victims dying of cold and other experiments while doctors looked on unemotioanlly, sometimes smiling and looking like they enjoyed it.
Another thing is I was told by someone who went thru the training to be a doctor is that it is more like an indoctrination, with so many hours of no sleep and a 'no questions asked' and 'assembly line' type attitude that makes it easy to be aloof from the patients and procedures
