The service I use is called
http://ping.in/ I use WordPress as my blogging platform of choice and I have turned off automatic pinging within wordpress so that I can do it manually with this service.
Be wary of pinging. You don't want to ping services to much or you put yourself at risk of being banned and that is not a good thing!
