I think if it was mine I would modify the .htaccess file to rewrite those urls to a more search engine friendly url.

www.sitenewspaper.com/?p=11

would be -

http://www.sitenewspaper.com/high-sc...l-scandal.html

or

http://www.sitenewspaper.com/content...sical-scandal/
