DMOZ: 5K To Be Listed In DMOZ?

Jeremy Schoemaker reports that he was blackmailed into paying for staying in the DMOZ.org open directory. The editor reportedly wanted 5K to prevent deletion.

OK, it's fairly well known that pay-to-play exists in the murkier corners of DMOZ, but 5k?? The rogue editor should have gone for something a little more plausible
