We launched a software package in '99 and I looked at the awards then and all I could see were the inbound links on my homepage I'd be giving them in exchange for a deeplink out.
Only the sites like Tucows and Hotscripts would have enough credibility and market share for me to display an award - the others are all gaining more from my award than I am.
