Ok, the wordpress 2.3 upgrade is complete. I had a minor duplicate folder bug which prevented me from fully upgrading but I solved that by re uploading the files. The plugin notifications area is SWEET. I didn't realize I had so many plugins installed that required an update.
I'm getting ready to dive into the TAG Importer for the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin. Wish me luck.
