What's that whirling sound? Sounds kind of like a tiny hand held fan motor.

I won't even go in on that.

You do know that the presidency is one office out of tens of thousands of political offices in the US, do you not? And you should further be aware that Yale is a highly respected university, so there's nothing odd about our electing 3 alumni to the highest office in the land. Come to think of it, three doesn't even sound too impressive.
You find that sinister?
|
Yes, that is sinister. As the US is ruled by just 2 parties. With the president as supreme leader as well. The other sections are overruled with 1000s of veto's the President carries. You are talking about a senate? A senate with either a republican or democratic party. Just 2 choices!! It becomes even more sinister if these rulers come from the same university, the same group of families and even the same student group. A group that selects only about 15 new members every couple of years.
That is a totally different situation. If you would have read my earlier pots, I have explained to you that we carry a totally different political system.
We do not have a president, we have got a prime minister with totally reduced powers. The prime minister is in a political party, in our country 1 party has never ruled the country, in 100s of years. It has always been a combination of multiple parties wich are chosen by different groups of society. For example we have multiple Christian parties, we have a labour party, we have left wing socialst and green parties, and we have got extreme right parties as well.
To keep democracy safe the system is made in a way that one party can never rule on its own in our country.

You need to state the connection. Let me show you how logic works:
Water is wet. (Stating an accepted fact here.)
My dishes are immersed in water. (Another fact, establish connection.)
Therefore, my dishes are wet. (Conclusion)
Ok?
You can say that "owning stuff destroys democracy", but until you state it in a way that connects accepted facts to that conclusion, you're just wasting our time.
For your statement to be true, the democratic process would need to be impeded somewhere. Can you show how one person owning many homes and renting them out to others impedes democracy?

Once again you go directly into bashing, not even responding to one of my statements.
My main statement is very clear. Capitalism gets out of hand in multiple ways, without it being restrained by Social Democratic standards.
You know very well in wich direction I pointed.
The list of things wich are for sale, contained public utilities. For this reason the lives of people are indeed controlled, because the prices could become as commercial as a pack of cigarettes.
In the US for example, doesnt even exist public healthcare. All other western countries, or even Cuba or a majority of Asian countries really laugh about that =)
