Oh, yeah. There are various groups like:
http://www.nmsdconline.com (National) and in Minnesota it's the
http://www.mmsdc.org (local).
Many corporations like Target, Carlson, General Mills, etc. belong to these organizations to try to find certified suppliers that meet a certain criteria in order to work with Minority owned companies whether it's race or a woman owned business. Many corporations have a Supplier Diversity division that works with these organizations and that's how I've managed to get a lot of my corporate business. Many of these corporations will consider you if you are not certified but there's less loops to go through if you are.
