from godday to VPS ?
Hi, I have been reading the forum for some time and so far every question I needed to post was already answered somewhere on here.
Basically I’ve bought about 25 url’s over the last 2 years, mostly I sit at home on my laptop and think off good names and if they don’t exist I buy them with this absurd
dream that some company one day will buy it of me for boats loads of wonger.
My web mastership is not great; I actually watched a tutorial video to get to grips with the fundamentals of SEO and so on. As a practice exercise they used godday for domain hosing, so being naive I used them as well. To be honest they have served their purpose, I have never needed any helpdesk advise ,so I haven’t any complaints.
Now I want to start to make some money out of these Url’s that are just sitting around, godday have the cash parking but you cant do any SEO on them, and they block google bot so I have read here.
So I was wondering, would it be a good idea to rent a starter dedicated/shared host in the UK (that’s where I live) and transfer my urls to that? I’m worried that godday will charge huge amounts of money to release them. I can always just use their DNS pointer but I don’t know if that affect traffic speeds. I sort of want to build up a portfolio of Url’s a bit like car number plates in the uk, as a future investment. Really what I would like is my url’s now and in the future on my own DNS server if that’s at all possible..!
I’m going to ask various other things in other threads so this doesn’t get to confusing.
