Its never a good idea to negotiate with terrorists while they still threaten you with violence. If you give in to them once they will always think they can get their own way by threatening you again, and they will because it is easy.
(In a perverse way its a bit like you threatening your parents with leaving if you don't get your way Upsonian. If they thought an issue was important enough they might be forced to let you leave. Just a thought.)
