Hi all,
I've been on a big break. I decided the blog wasn't for me awhile ago and I closed it out. I wanted to open it to get the information I had on it but I'm having problems, so anyways, I am going to just start from scratch.
The information is for the LCI (L) 538, it was amphibious Landing Craft in the United States Navy that landed in Normandy on D Day in WWII. The ship landed troops for the invasion on Easy Red Beach, where the United States had the most casualties. The LCI L Stands for Landing Craft Infantry Large and 538 is the ship number. The ships back then of this type weren't name like Destroyers, Cruisers and Aircraft Carriers.
Anyways, I have all the information on the ship I could get from one of my dads shipmates as they were on the ship together at Normandy. I have old news articles, history, pictures, and found out how to get the ships logs, and got the logs from the week of D Day. And he also told me some really neat stuff on the phone when we've talked, he's awesome.
Alot of information that I have is no where on the internet at all, and I wanted to share it on the website, figuring there might be others with dads or grandfathers that served on this vessel and can't find any info, just like me a few years ago.
My question is, what would be the best Page Title so it might be better when people are searching. I know for keywords I want some of these: Landing Craft Infantry, LCI 538, LCIL, LCI (L), WWII, World War Two, Navy, USN, United States Navy, Invasion, Normandy, France, Naval, Ship, Landing Vessel or stuff like this.
Page title is challenging me, I'm can't even remember what I used to type when I was researching trying to find it in searches. Most of the information I got was from the shipmate of my dad. And if you're into that kind of history stuff, it's really interesting info that I have.
Anyone got any suggestions ? If you do, please please post them. I'd love to have some pages on the site that show up in the search for this genre, so I can share the information with others.
I'm more confused because our website is more categories of items we sell, and this is more a specilized topic and very specific. So I'm not sure on how to approach this and I want it done right. A tribute from me to my dad and the shipmates he served with.
Thanks much,
Linda
