White Hat SEO is a technique wherein you obey the rules of search engines and do not use manipulative methods which would be against the SE's.

Black Hat SEO is the total opposite of White Hat SEO wherein you disobey the rules of SE's. It is also a tactic used to increase search engine rankings using methods frowned upon by search engines.
Examples are:
- Doorway pages
- Keyword stuffing
- Invisible text
- Link Farm
Using the white hat technique could result your site's success in a long-term process. While black hat again is a total opposite but could be limited. Black hat is not that easy to do or I can say is not advised to use. That's very risky in so many ways.
