what should i do about my domain name transfer?

Hi.
I'm having a very serious problem with selling my domain name. This is how things are now:

Some days back when I was completely new to this web hosting stuff I paid a local company to register a domain for me.But the person from the company who registered the domain, registeed it in his name. After a while I asked him to tell me the user name of the domain at network solutions, and he told me that Network Solutions have changed their portal and he doesn't have the rights to transfer the domain name to me..yet,or something like that. But he told me that as soon as they change their portal back and he gets the rights to transfer the domain to me,he would. He however told me that he can change the whois information to show my name. But I thought there was no need.Whenever I needed to get the nameservers or anything about the domain changed I would've had to contact him and he would change them for me.Now some days later I met someone who wants to buy the domain name, and we're using escrow.com.He has transfered the money and I just have to transfer the domain to him.Its been about a month,I've been contacting the person from the company whom I had to contact to change the nameserves of the domain(from now on I'll call him E),and he first told me to fax him the request to transfer the domain.I faxed him,and then he told me to fax something else.Anyway..I called him and asked him what the problem was,and he told me the same portal thing which won't let him transfer the domain. However he said that he can change the whois info of the domain name to show the buyer's name, and the buyer can contact him to have the nameservers of the domain changed. And then the buyer could accept the transfer at escrow.com so that I can get the money and move out of the whole scene. The buyer would contact E whenever he needs to get something about the domain changed. And then,as soon as E gets the rights to transfer the domain,he'll transfer it to the buyer so that the buyer can have the user name of the domain at network solutions.Yesterday I emailed the buyer and told him that, and this is what he says:

If you are the rightful owner of the domain name, you simply need to log in to your NetSol account and initiate the transfer. If you don't own this domain, then please let us know who the owner is so that we can negotiate directly with them. According to WHOIS, someone named 'E' is the contact for the domain, not you."

For now I've just emailed both the buyer and E.I told the buyer this whole problem,of E registering the domain and putting his name in the whois and registering the domain in his name, and told him that I'm the one who owns the domain, not E.and I emailed E and told him what the buyer said and asked him what I should do now.I asked him if I should refer the buyer to him to verify that I'm the owner of the domain name, and to talk about the domain transfer.

Please help me,tell me what I should do,I'm really very confused.
Bye.
Ali.
