Yes, depending on your product. Conversion can be sales or leads.

The quality of those leads can only be measured by you.
Example I used to handle a financial company. They got leads from a large well established site. That site collected leads (but) they would collect general leads not directly related to this clients industry and ship them over every week (altho they claimed they were industry specific - they weren't). So the value of the leads were very low.
Those leads coming from a content rich site (searchers looking for a specific product or service) are 100 times more likely to convert to real sales.
