I don't know patrick gavin, but it seems as if he marketed himself as a pay per click guru and then suddenly overnight changed to an organic marketing firm (a few months ago)...He used to buy a bunch of links in tandom with Positioned1, but recently their PageRank went down to a 3, but he is still up at an 8.
Oddly enough Patrick was one site in front of me on google for "search engine marketing" when I just searched...
I can't wait until I redesign my site to look WAY better, have it copy edited, and build some link popularity...
