We've tried Craigslist with mixed results. You can get visits to your site, but in the main it's hard to get your adverts seen around all the spam that's going on there. With so many rules in place (which is good) there doesn't really seem to be much monitoring by the board owner(s). They've also taken to "ghosting" ads even if you follow their guidelines to the T.... so it could just be a waste of effort for many.

Also some decent advice is to realize what the social media communities are all about and play ball with each group. Shoving stuff down people's throats never works, and will really hurt you if you go about it wrong in any social area (this one included lol!).
