My basic suggestions are two, get a good site design, both cool looking and userfriendly, and SEO friendly. Second, SEO. I won't start explaining the whole thing cause it's out of the scope of this post here. There are very useful posts arround by the contributing members, useful articles, stikies, links, tools, methods. Use the "Search Forums" and start reading. The process of optimizing is really not an easy game. It's compared to a full time work, and it gonna cost you a lot if you want good results. There is no free lunch in our days, right? Read also about the semantic engines, and the Latent Semantic Optimization. That's related to writing good content, and many people skip the content and contentrating on the other things instead. Well it's them who lose.
