How about a short video clip about a guy writing a script that get so engrossed that he forgets the time to disastrous effect. He could be sitting with his back to a window and as he types away life outside the window seems to pass quicker and quicker (as in the original HG Wells film adaptation), of course he doesn't notice. When he finally finishes and is suitably shocked, the camera focuses on his screen to show he was composing an excuse for handing in a late course work.
