Hi Alfie, I encourage you to check out "Internet Marketing University" (put in google) which is soon to be re-released. It should offer great insights and a great learning experience with videos, document, etc. Registering at forums are excellent way to get started for newbies. v7n is a great source...Look around, do your research and you will come across something that will work best for you.
