Take the great State of Oregon, in the good ol' US of A . . . can't pump your own gas there. Why not? Because they are trying to keep folks employed as opposed to states like California where most attendants have been replaced by "ATM" type machines . . . . which also won't check your oil or wash your window, etc. It's all "self serve".

Should we endeavor to create a social contract where we can facilitate empoloyment for anyone looking for a job -- I'm all for that.

In the mean time, there is just no court of law I know of where one can submit a suite claiming that their "right to employment" was denied ( unless one could demonstrate that they were denied employment because they were a woman, gay, etc. and existing laws apply in the region of jurisdiction )

Personally, I think it would help a lot if the US Fed weren't creating a state of corporate welfare while simultaneouslsy making it harder and harder for small businesses to stay afloat . . . esp. as the vast majority of jobs in the US are created through small businesses.
