It depends on what you mean by "link managers" any link will take a while to show up before it recognised and shown on a backlink check. You need to wait for the next PR/backlinks update.
If by "link managers" you were refering what are commonly called link farms then the answer is no, its probably not a good idea link to them. Many such sites will not pass any kind of PR value to you at all and you are leave you linking into the bad neighborhood.
