It's "usually" considered spam when you make a post about your own site/sites. Different rules for different forums though. Signature links are not usually considered spam as they are a way of telling the reader about yourself.

To try and equate this to real world etiquette, Sig links are like saying Hi my name is Bob.....conversation....by the way here's my card so if you want to keep in touch you can. Spammy posts take the conversation out of the post. Many forums also want you to have a certain number of posts before posting your sig link so that you at least provide some value to the community before getting to talk about yourself.

Bloggers don't like it when you make posts like that. The best thing to do is try to create some type of value to the post by posing a question or something of this nature. Hope this helps you.
