Large Email Mailing list . .

On one of the websites that I work with, there is a section to sign up for our monthly mailing list if you so wish. I now have about 200 people signed up for the mailing list.

I have created an html email to send out, and we would like to send out the first mailing list email two weeks from now. The problem is that I am unsure as to what the conventional or smart way of going about sending the email is. (we want to keep each person's email private from other recipients) I don't simply want to add all of the email addresses to the bcc field of an email message.

what do people normally do? I was thinking about writing a perl script with a loop that for each email in an array, to send out the email. So the perl script would end up sending 200 individual emails, that way everyone's email is private, and I don't do any copying and pasting.

Is there a better way to do this?

THANKS!!!!!
