Hi all,

Im new to web development and would like some advice on something i have been wondering about for some time now.

Im looking to build a site which will have some interaction using PHP. What is the best way to layout the files on the web server? Should the php be in its own file? should this file be htaccess protected?

If someone could shed some light on this or point me to a website which has a good tutorial it would be greatly appreciated.
