Google collect and analyse a lot of data. They would have tested the effects on the global quality of the search results if they give an extra boost to a link from DMOZ (or yahoo) and if they don't. They will know exactly what the effect is on the global quality of the results. It dosen't matter what you or I think; it dosen't matter what the urban myths of SEO forums are; it dosen't matter if a particular site is listed or not ....Google will trust their testing.
