That site used to have a couple hundred links from my forum signature on the old webmaster forums.

Are you saying that each signature posted at a forum counts as an inbound link? So if you have a 1,000 postings you got a 1,000 links? Sounds too easy! I think I;ve got it wrong again.
Also, I noticed that your signature has your url underneath your keywords ... is there an advantage in doing it that way?
