The Open Directory by necessity has a very sophisticated spam filter that has automatic and manual components that block submissions before they reach the editors.

I see that your company offers both automatic and manual monthly submissions to directories, which would presumably include the Open Directory with a resultant large number of repeat submissions that would make it very hard for your companies and client's sites submissions not to have been flagged by the spam filter at some point.

The best person to submit a site is its owner as they are the one who is best able to select the appropriate category, and write an accurate suggested title and description. I would suggest that if someone is unable to submit a site themselves they should seek assistance from someone who does not advertise that they dump repeat submissions on directories.

Anyone submitting a site to any directory (not just the ODP) should ask themselves the question "is a bot (or person) dumping a submission every month going to endear themselves to anyone?". You can safely assume that any directory worth its salt is going protect its editors with spam filters from those who seek to overwhelm the submission process.
