Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If you went back in time and told yourself what to do, who is to say you would listen to yourself. We decide our course of action by what is in our own minds, not what is in that of others. The younger you has 10 years of experience less with which to think. The ten years of experience and knowledge make all the difference to one's thinking I suspect.
(I have good ideas about what I should do all the time, it don't mean I actually do any of them.)
