I wrote a blog post about this recently and found that the CTR for ads is between 0.25 - 2% on average.
I've been looking over these values for my newest website(5 days ago). So far 3 people have clicked on ads out of 100 uniques.
It all depend on your niche, your website layout and the keywords people are typing to get to your website.
Anything above 2% is good. I don't know the threshold for CTR, but anything over 10% over the course of one month is a bit suspicious to me, Google are very tight when it comes to Adsense.
Asking people their CTR is irrelevant. Type of content, niche, theme, ad placement and so many other factors contribute to CTR. Two sites using the same theme in different niches could have vastly different CTRs.
CTR can vary from 0.25 to 4-5%. If you want to increase your CTR then mix your text ads within content so you get maximum hits. If you use graphic ads then use large size ads.
I have seen that average CTR should be less than 1 per cent for an average user. But it is not an exception. Google adsense users can even have a ctr of 2%. Its just the user preference about the ads. I have even seen people to have ctr as high as 5%.
A good CTR is usually based on Ads Placement. A decent CTR i would say between 3% to 5% and to achieve those CTR you should place your ads in better way engaging with your Content and Users.
