Are Adsenses Advertiser Leaving Google after the Penguin Update?

I don't know if you recently checked your adsenses account but it seems like many advertisers left or are leaving as we speak the Adsenses program to re-focus on their marketing strategy and they are relocating their budgets.

Perhaps the monetizing of your site by adsenses will not bring the same amount of money next month after the Google Penguin update.

Have you experimented a drop in your adsenses account? Do you think that Google shot themselves in the foot?

With the search results are currently terrible, it won't likely that advertisers will go or look for an alternatives. Who would want to display their ads in crappy websites.

I myself is now moving towards or should I say pay more focus on affiliate monetization and social traffic. I am using both adsense and affiliate offers, but it seems the affiliate offers or promotion is now the better way plus social traffic, seo and adsense would only be secondary.

Nothing much seems to be changing, and Google has proven time and time again that they know exactly what they are doing.

Not every sites got hit bad by the Penguin update. Those who were doing white hat seo from the very beginning are now profiting from the previous since a lot of their competitors with spam links disappeared from the first page. One of my main website was ranking number five on the first page and came tumbling down to number 50 on page 5. I don't think people will start leaving adsense because of the update. They will just have to come up with new SEO techniques to improve their rankings once again.

I only run Adsense on one site, but I haven't noticed much change in the advertisers or revenues. Then again, that site did pretty well under Penguin so the fact that the advertising hasn't changed might say something after all...

I'm on the up if anything... but I understand the point being made about advertisers perhaps getting itchy feet about poor websites after googles recent update.

I have always believed that the poor USA economy is the reason why advertisers are not spending much on adwords and thus effecting our revenue as the cost per click is low.

Then again, Unhappy folks with Google leaving to use other advertising networks can effect all adsense publishers if they the big spender ones.

The economy has to effect all things "money"...people are not spending as they did awhile ago.....
Look around your local community.....the specialty businesses are dying...

The crash of junk sites is good for all...the "real" sites will make money and trashers will go away...

Business has been that way for many years.....
Good businesses survive many set backs.....and seem to get stronger...
Poorly run business seem to slowly disappear....

I believe that it is a combination of many things.

I am not sure that the junk sites will be trashed if they are black hats they will find a quick fix.

Now webmasters hit by unintentional practices, errors, and mistakes will have some hard time to figure it out if they are not knowledgeable. It could be also their web designers who know nothing about SEO, I have seen that too.

Mistakes is a word that can define many things like poor customer management, poor capital, poor investments, poor technical knowledge, poor quality products, too expensive, offering products that people don't want, etc

I agree with you Jim that good business having the right people or outsource companies working to help you, will make no mistakes to survive.
