To implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code. These tags will mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting.
example:

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

YOUR PAGE CONTENT

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

No, it is not boost the net revenue.

No you can't. You can not tamper with the adsense code at all. Where you placed your ad code on your website, put the tags mentioned before and after the adsense code like mentioned in the example.

You have to do this for all the ad blocks you placed on your website. If you run a wordpress blog, there are adsense targeting plugins available to use. Search the code index for "adense targeting"

That's correct and the answer was given already in the thread if you read the replies first.
