Which Adsense for Wordpress Plugin would you recommend?

I have been using the official Google Adsense plugin, but have now received this announcement

"Dear Publisher,
In the coming months we’ll be deprecating the official AdSense Plugin for WordPress. You’re receiving this email as you’re currently using the plugin for your WordPress site.
What is happening?
The official AdSense Plugin for WordPress will be deprecated in May 2017. You will no longer be able to edit your ad settings and ad units directly through the AdSense Plugin. Your existing ad units will keep showing ads but you won’t be able to make any changes.
Recommended action
For a better user experience on your site and to be able to make changes to your ad units, we recommend you follow these steps:
1. Back up your WordPress site.
2. Deactivate the official AdSense Plugin for WordPress (and remove existing AdSense ads).
3. Choose one of the options below to continue showing AdSense ads:
Option 1: Show ads with QuickStart
Let AdSense place ads on your site automatically by connecting your site with a simple code snippet, "page-level ad code". Once you put this code on your page, you only need to flick a switch in AdSense and ads will start to appear automatically.
You’ll need to use another WordPress plugin to edit the <head> section of your WordPress site template.
Use QuickStart

Option 2: Show custom AdSense ads
Create and place your own ad units by inserting ad units through the WordPress widgets.
To do this, you’ll need to create text widgets in WordPress and copy and paste your ad unit codes into these widgets.
Create custom ad units
4. Make sure your site stays compliant with the AdSense ad placement policies.
5. Remove the official AdSense plugin completely.
6. Optional: To keep using the Google Search Console, make sure you verify your site.
Learn more about this upcoming change in the AdSense Help Center.
Kind regards,
The Google AdSense Team

What would you guys suggest? A different plugin or a custom solution?

Thank you in advance for your advice!

My answer: text widgets. It works great. Unless you have a Wordpress template in which there are boxes for ads (I have on my blog such boxes for ads). But I always use simple solutions. More addons (plugins) - More instability of the whole website (more and more scripts - Script to run the script..and even more js, code scripts etc). Anyway - I like to have "order" - few plugins for Wordpress.
Plugins get old, they stop working. You forgot to update - problem.
It's best to just use the text widget.
Regards
Rithven

Quick Adsense Plugins is great working in WordPress and also you can insert adds in the middle of the post, end of the post and start of the post. It's quite easy to use.

I stopped using a plugin and just manually add the code in my template files where I wanted the ad to be displayed. 1 less plugin to worry about.

Hmm, wondering if this is the best way to profit. I have been given the same advice by someone pretty successful with it. SO this might be what I will wind up doing. I am thinking the index file has two and the home one 1.
Will check it out. Seems simple but not sure if it is the most effective way.

I think instead of using plugin manually integration of the script in wp template will be the right option. Manual integration of the code gives you the freedom where you want to display the ads.

Thanks

I'm using WP quad plugin. It is the best Alternative to Quick AdSense plugin. Alternatively, you can try AICP method to show ads without a plugin.
Code:
add_shortcode( 'your_shortcode_name', function() { if( aicp_can_see_ads() ) { // This part will show ads to your non-banned visitors $adCode = '<div class="aicp"><!-- Don\'t forget to add this div with aicp class --> <script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script> <!-- AdSense Responsive Ad Code --> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1234567890" data-ad-slot="0987654321" data-ad-format="auto"></ins> <script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); </script> </div><!-- end of the aicp div -->'; return $adCode; } else { // Anything within this part will be shown to your banned visitors or to the blocked country visitors return '<div class="error">You have been blocked from seeing ads.</div>'; } } );
This method will also help to protect Invalid click activity using AICP plugin.

Thanks a lot, Kumar. As soon as my numbers start dropping, I will give this a try.

But adding manually is bit of a hassle for me most of the time ad displays on the places which i never wanted it to be.
