All of that side, this post is not about Ad sense vs. affiliate marketing.but instead it is about one of the most asked question in my experience regarding adsence .Recently I was giving a workshop at a hosting summit. When I was new to AdSense, I had the same question. I had heard so many stories about people making $50/click or making thousands of dollars via AdSense every month.

Wink

1. Don't place the ads in between of the articles. This can annoy the visitors.
2. If placing in between, then put only TEXT adds. According to recent studies, graphic ads in between of the articles gets less click then Text ads.
3. If your article is good then only visitor will read line by line and will spend some time on your site which will ensure more probability of ads being clicked. So try to write good articles.

I see some replies but no body really gave the perfect answer to the question asked by OP.

By just placing your ads on website will not help because you need visitors. If you have 100 visitors a day, you can expect all 100 to click on ads. The secret of AdSense earning lies in useful content. Remember "Content is King", no matter today or tomorrow but these days with just good content you need to do a lot in terms of SEO, marketing your site. All these will help you to reach your target audience. If you have a 'made for AdSense' site then you need to have thousands and thousands of visitors.

All the best for your future projects.

The more clicks you have on ads, the higher payout per 1 click will be. If you have few visitors and almost no clicks, then the payout is really small per view/click.

The goal should be driving as much traffic as possible as more unique visitors would see you ads. Also more likely someone will click on it. And eventually your payout per click/view will become higher.

How many visitors you get to your site daily?

Yes this days to have Adsense approved is not that easy but it's easier when you followed or abide by google's privacy policy. I once face this problem on my newbie blog, google keep saying that my site doesn't comply with Google Adsense privacy policy so I have to work hard on blog and later I got approved
