Hey, I'm new to this area as well, and sorry if I'm in the wrong forum for this, but I want to start a new business online with Amazon associates, and I was wondering what's the best website host for affiliates marketing?

I dont think it needs some best website host for affiliates marketing. For the affiliates marketing, the most important thing is to use the most effective way to promote and let your potential customers become your users.

Hi there.

You don't need an ecommerce package with your web host. Why? Because as an affiliate you are pointing your visitors in the direction of the merchant (who has all that setup).

When your visitors click through your affiliate link and go to the merchant, amazon for example, amazon deal with the transaction and you'll get a percentage of the total sales price.

You don't need to deal, or even worry, about payment processing. You are an affiliate, not a merchant! :-)

If you need any more tips/advice let me know. I've been in affiliate marketing for some time now.

As the OP said you don't need an eCommerce option because you will be promoting other people's products and the consumer buys from them.

Pretty much any full featured, yet low cost web host will do. Check web hosting talk forum for reviews of hosts before you order.

As far as building a site, lots of affiliates use Wordpress and start a blog. WP is easy and free.

However, when choosing a web host company, you must get to know how fast their customer service, how good their responses and whether or not you could upgrade your hosting account once you need more bandwidth.

A suggestion is that you should also ad PPC ads like adsense to your new affiliate site.
It might not be bringing in that much money at first but it can be paying for your hosting you know.
