5 Steps to Becoming the Top Affiliate for a Product

I'm pretty much sure that there are more then 5 steps but you got to start from somewhere. Check out the blog post before posting your comments.

Being a top affiliate means driving more sales, the best way I think this is possible is by dominating every possible traffic source online where targeted customers hang out.

Thinking about doing away with my affiliate program. The only affiliates I have gotten are ones that get no traffic. Lol

Maybe it's worth it still for the link, who knows. :-)

Still keep it and perhaps one day someone will make you some money. If it's costing you nothing to have the affiliate program in place then why remove it?

It's not free but it isn't much a month. It could take off with the right affiliate, that's why I still have it.

Amazon is starting to rock my product, so who knows.

I don't know what your product is, but I often see (even for successful ones) an updated re-launch, often with a new or upgraded name; like "affiloBlueprint 3" for example. Did you have a successful first launch?

I would say the best "trick" is really to beat the crowd, or already had registered the domain names.

Affiliate marketing was tough for me, but perhaps I just wasn't cut out for it.

Nice article! It works well for those who have a popular blog and a big list of subscribers but until you get there, it may take a while. Just my two cents.

Totally! Having (and promoting) your own coupon code gives your visitors a reason to keep coming back and through YOU. How often do you think people write down those coupon codes on products they buy the most often... lots i imagine. I know I do at least.

Knowing the specific dates of specials coming out also allows you to pre-sell your customers while providing you with "news worthy" content to write about.... Great way to keep your blog posts up to date and bookmarked/republished in emails, etc.
