Can anyone tell me some great affiliate programs?

Such as Amazon? Looking for some that well known and popular.

Thanks!

ClickBank is a great affiliate site, Commission Junction is another one, you may want to refer to Affiliate Tips Website to read up on more...but beware, this site is probably affiliates of all of these!! it looks like a good site that describes some of the best one's. But I would stick with the top two...they are big enough! Also refer to Snakeair's Post About ClickBank to find out more, its really good too.

Yeah as Wade said ClickBank is really good if you're looking to promote software or eBooks.

CJ is also really good and they have a huge range of products. Same with Amazon.

And Peerfly is good if you want to get into CPA.

There's a lot of great networks out there - just got to hunt around a bit!

Yes.

Of course, you should market your site a lot to get more visitors. Write reviews of the products, add a banner image on your site...etc

I'm finding it difficult to advertise in other places than forums. I can't really find anywhere else to advertise. Should I go to gaming forums and just comment a little and then leave my website URL?

Does your site get a ton of unique traffic? Why not buy and sell banner ad spots. This is a really good site to use.

http://buysellads.com/

Buysell ads is great but if its a new blog, they might not accept it...you do have to have traffic coming to your site. Set up Adsense, that usually is good for about $20 a month if you have a new site...have you thought about SEO?

Clickbank, CJ etc are different with different business models. You shouldn't actually be looking at the most popular programs as that is going to be the most competitive as well. You need to find the right niche for your traffic and find the one that converts best for you. Do lot of R&D and analyze your traffic. If you still dont havr the traffic, forget about aff programs.

If you don't have a website then that's fine, you could get a free blogger blog or a free wordpress blog in which you don't have to pay for hosting. You just have to follow there TOS so the blog don't get disabled.

Picking a Niche:

What do you know a lot about?

Health and fitness related
Make money online
social media
....etc

My advice is to pick a niche that you know a little bit about. This way it would be easier for you to increase your knowledge a little more to be able to market and write good content about the niche.

I've seen people pick the Mortage niche beause it pays good if you use adsense. Only problem is they know nothing about this niche and can not provide fresh unique content on there own and find it hard to make any profit in this niche. Don't pick a niche because it seems to be the choice everyone makes. Pick a niche that you are familiar and comfortable with.

Check out the blog post below which is 2 years old but i've been subscribed to her blog for a long time.
