well, personally i feel best affiliate programs vary upon niche. what niche you want to target. you may find one affiliate program good for a niche which is not good for other niche.
please mention your niche, this will help you to get answer to your questions in better way.

Agreed! The people who know of the best programs aren't going to tell anyone because then they will have more competition.

Regnow.com is good if you wish to promote softwares, Clickbank is good for promoting make money online ebooks and other stuffs, CJ has lots of products to promote but I dont like their cookie tracking thing, Panthera is a good affiliate network if you wish to earn money from people freely signing up to take surveys.

I also use CJ. Amazon has decided that they will no longer partner with North Carolinian's because of a tax war...or something like that.
Oh yeah, we partner with Ebay too. Is anyone else experiencing a slump in affiliate sales?

Amazon and ClickBank are very lucrative. Really, the best affiliate programs are the small, local ones that you find and promote on your own. Less competition.

* Max Bounty - Generally speaking, they have the largest number of affiliate programs aimed at the simple 1 form, email gathering, affiliate programs. Meaning they have the $1 to $2 payouts for leading a visitor to submit their email for potential freebies and surveys.
* ebay Partner Network - They pay some of the highest commissions of any program I affiliate for. Their lowest tier of earnings makes you 50% of whatever eBay makes off an auction that ends with your affiliate cookie attached. Plus there are a lot of plugins and scripts to make building sites easy.
* Amazon - Who hasn't heard of Amazon? Some of their payouts are pretty low, but it's easily made up with the amount of volume that's possible. They also offer plenty of affiliate widgets, feeds, and store builder options.
* ClickBank - If it's a digital download, ebook, or some sort of online subscription service you can find it on ClickBank. They offer a huge inventory of these types of products that you can affiliate for with an even larger number of payout options. While I've only had limited success with this affiliate program, the potential is there if you can find a good niche.

Thanks you for posting those affiliate programs.

I love Amazon and HDP's affiliate program, the payout is very fast and accurate with conversion rate is quite okay as well.
