I want to have an affiliate program, and put literature on other websites and I need to be able to track leads that come from their sites, like i'll have an article on their website and the user will click on it to come to my site and fill out a webform and I need to track that it come from website abc. Do you know how I get this, is there free software out there? Do i have to buy it or have it programmed?

i found this jam.jrox.com/ , but have no idea what's good and what's not, please give some good ones, for all i know there might be free software.

Sorry, AffPLanet has no free affiliate software at present, but Post Affiliate FREE does.
