Re-directing affiliate links?

Hi

I have some long affiliate links I want to email out.
Rather than sending really long links I want to send them to a shorter
url which will then redirect to the affiliate page.
To do this I will use this code,

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://www.xp64.co.uk">

Can I be sure that if I do this the affiliate link will still track?
TIA.

I'm really nervous about giving re-direct advice. All I can say is you need to test to be sure the links work and check the merchant TOS to be sure there are no rules prohibiting how you are doing it.

THeres a current thread over at WMW that offers advice on different ways to re-direct.

Send a message via AIM to Jon@FluxAds
run a test click on the redirect link. i've used redirects with that code that have tracked perfectly, but you will want to test before sending a mailing.

Yeah I can't see why it wouldn't work. The page is simple redirecting to another page. If you where to redirect to some other site where a script is use to show a page. ie v7n.com/index.php?page=contact , that would work fine. Just in this case page is refer or referrer.
