How do I succeed with affiliate business - tip and tricks

I have never imaged that affiliate could bring me a lot of money like this. Every week I got about more than 1000$. just wanna share to you guys some tips and tricks

1. Play around with many merchants and product, don't depend only on clickbank and comission junction . There are a lot of individual affiliate service for each company, like ebay.com or 1and1.com... but be noticed, the more it's famous, the more competive. I recommend you to find unfamous ones to deal with

2. Don't play with pay per click but if you stil want to try, I recommend adbite, much cheaper than others like adwords but work pretty well.

3. Prepare your affiliate link:
+ When you have a lot of links, it's not easy for you to managing them, some products are sold faster than others, keep track how your links work. Don't stupidly try to promote products that everyone doesn't buy
+ securing your links, don't let people steal your profit. It's so easy to do that. There are some posts about how to cloaking your links, try to find it yourself. But it's a lil inconvenient for you to do it manually. There are some services, some free ones like tinyurl.com, some ones you have to pay for like linkshield.com or linksnapshot.com... of cources paid ones are much better and they will have you a lot in managing how your links work, which is every important. I tried many of them but I would say that linksnapshot.com is the best with a lot of features and it's also the cheapest services.
tip: these sevices, they have affiliate programs, you can save a lot of money by first registering for affiliate and then buying your own products.

4. Many people would ask: so what is your way to promote your products? that is the most important things I want to share, this is the answer: writing blog, writing online articles . But the best way is particiting internet forums. If you want to sell digital products, go to large digital forums. Try to post many useful posts, be famous in these forum. So what? duh, use the signature feature. Put your links in your signature, the more you are famous in the forum, the more people will click in the link in your links. Trust me, it works very well. maybe not fast, but some days, when you wake up, check your commission, you will be very suprising. Another good things is it work for you free, without having pay any things like adwords but give much better results.

question:
do you promote per site per program? what i mean is, eg you joined merchant ABC with a product Health1 and Nutrition1. Do you do a dedicated site just to promote Health1, or a site with both Health1 and Nutrition2.
And you also joined merchant DEF with Health2 and Nutrition2. so do you do a website with both Health1 and Health2 or you dont?

Sorry, these are ordinary suggestions. Nothing unique. Do you offer any exact example? I know what I'm talking about since I tried affiliate programs and they just didn't work. PPC is making much more on my site.

Don't take my words badly, I don't want to say it's impossible or so.

Some good tips there. Time is very important when it comes to earning from Affiliate programs. If you don't spend another time on your site or with each affiliate program then you will not know enough about it and probably not earn the full amount that you can potentially earn.

Also if you don't keep with affiliate marketing long enough and give it all up within a few weeks then you will not earn much or you may earn $0.

I agree those tips are pretty vague/general ... I'd like to add to this: TARGET your niche market well ... figure out some very specific area and then do keyword research and just plain sitting-back-and-thinking about what kind of person you're targeting. young? old? rich? poor? there are a lot of ways to go of course, but you have to know your market for whatever you're selling. I think a lot of affiliate marketers go for a whole broad category - like 'clothes' - and lose out because they never get their sites to the top either by organic or ppc strategies.

Great tips. I'll offer another: DON'T GIVE UP!

Like any business, affiliate marketing is full of trial and error. An offer that may work for one person and their site/list does not mean that offer will work for yours. Get to know your audience and test regularly what offers they are responsive too.

Do you have a site for each program or is it just one site for all programs?
Do you concentrate on a niche, or is it all over the place? I mean what niches do you focus on?

Hiding the links

Thanks for the tips, jimbult.

The only thing I would like to ask you about the sites you mentioned, that hide the affiliate links and make them look nice (like tinyurl.com, linkshield.com or linksnapshot.com... ). Probably those sites make some kind of redirections, which I've heard Google doesn't like and trying to punish for such redirections and such tricks, correct me if I'm wrong. Hope my question is clear.

Have a great day,
Peter

write an ebook with links to your affiliate site with a topic related to your affiliate product . sell it on ebay for 99 cents to cover costs with resell rights so any buyer can resell it with the only exception he has to keep it like it is.

I have a few questions ...If you have the time to answer.. I never had a clue about Forum, Blog, etc. marketing until I joined Molten Marketing. Now I try to write in every forum I can find.

It does take time...A lot of time and I have to make money in the mean time.

Because money is an issue I have been using some safelist advertising, traffic exchanges and a few solo ads. These bring in enough to just keep me going, which is what I am trying to do until some of the forums give me results.

I have been using ClickAudit as a sort of redirect for my links, is this o.k. or should I invest the money to a paid link program such as linksnapshot as suggested?

I have never used adbrite what do you suggest I should purchase for the 1st time I use it?

Also about Splash pages. Do they benefit you in Affilitate Marketing, in trying to get peoples attention?

I'm new at this and need all the help I can get.

Thanks for the Time.

It's been all about trial and error for me. Trying things and seeing that they were a big waste of time, and finding the methods that actually produce results.

I'm on a tight budget and never spend anything on advertising, so it's blogging, article marketing and forum posting all the way for me.
