hi is it not harmful if you keep on pinging the sites again and again? hxxp://rpc.pingomatic.com/ pings common SEs and then some of this SEs are listed again on your list. Same with hxxp://pingoat.com/goat/RPC2

I ping my blog once in a while. I use only 2 ping sites for that. Is there an advantage in usinge many ping services?

Increased exposure? The more people that know about you, the better.

Definitely. One of the main goals for any website is exposure, and you need to get maximum exposure to draw in traffic and potential return visitors.

Yes, the standard one included in Wordpress is http://rpc.pingomatic.com/, but it doesn't always ping all the services provided under Ping-o-Matic, and doesn't include the list mentioned here.
